Kansas offers hoops scholarship to Alabama prep shooting guard Kira Lewis

Kansas has offered a basketball scholarship to Kira Lewis, a 6-foot-3 junior shooting guard from Hazel Green, Ala., Lewis reported on Twitter on Sunday night.

Lewis is the No. 81-ranked player in the recruiting class of 2019, according to Rivals.com. Lewis, who plays for the Georgia Stars AAU program, is considering KU, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Indiana, Baylor, LSU, TCU, Florida State, Dayton, Western Kentucky and many other schools.

Lewis averaged 28 points a game during his junior year at Hazel Green High and 21 in four games at the recent Nike EYBL showcase in Dallas.

He told insidethehall.com that college coaches like “how I can score the ball, share the ball, my speed and defense.”
